Heavy rain lashes Anantapur, Kurnool

Few places in Anantapur received heavy rainfall. Puttaparthy records 13cm of rain. Due to heavy downpour, the low lying areas are flooded with water.

Heavy rainfall was also recorded at Adoni, mantralayam and Doone in Kurnool. People are finding it hard to commute as a bridge built connecting Adoni to Dhanapuram was destroyed. Water bodies in these areas are overflowing due to excessive amount of rain received.
