Hearing on Roja suspension case begins
Hearing on the petition filed by YSRCP MLA PK Roja challenging her year-long suspension from the AP Legislative Assembly began in the High Court on Wednesday.
The High Court sought to know about the developments in the case and why the House Motion and Lunch Motion Petition were rejected. The hearing has been adjourned to 12 noon. Senior advocate Indira Jaisingh argued on behalf of Roja.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court directed the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana High Court to take up for hearing the plea of YSR Congress MLA R K Roja challenging her one-year suspension from the assembly. A bench headed by Justice V Gopala Gowda directed the matter be placed before the Chief Justice of the High Court on Wednesday and asked the matter to be decided expeditiously.
