Headmaster held for harassing girl student in Hyderabad

Hyderabad,  Headmaster of a private school in Saidabad was, on Monday, arrested on charges of harassing a class IX student, police said.

The accused Yogeshwar Rao was allegedly misbehaving with the girl for the past few months, they said.

The girl tried to keep quiet and did not disclose the matter to anyone. But her parents grew suspicious at their daughter's reluctance  in attending school for the last four days,  police said.

A complaint was subsequently lodged with the Saidabad police after the girl confided in her parents about the harassment she was facing.  

The headmaster was arrested and sent to jail, a police officer said.
