HCU Students, Professors Accorded Grand Welcome After Release

Hyderabad: Dozens of students and research scholars gathered at Cherlapally jail to extend a grand welcome to their campus mates who were released on bail on Tuesday. 25 students and two faculty members who were arrested following the unrest on the Hyderabad Central University campus were granted bail by a court on Monday.

It took a full day to for the authorities to complete the formalities at the jail before releasing the students.

Authorities released the students late in the evening in order to avoid any untoward incidents as various student bodies had planned to take out a procession from the jail to campus following the release of the students and faculty members.
