HC 'No' to stay on Shankar Rao's arrest warrant

The Green Fields land scam case has come back to haunt former minister and senior Congress leader Shankar Rao.

The members of the Alwal colony had filed a  petition against Shankar Rao, alleging that he had poached 75 acres of land in the Green Fields colony. The Green Fields flat owner's association accused Shankar Rao of meddling with the regularisation of 875 flats. 

With the High Court rejecting the stay on arrest warrant against Shankar Rao, the Malkajgiri police has begun investigations into the case. 

An arrest warrant has been issued against Shankar Rao and his brother Dayanand in connection with the Green Fields land scam. The duo is likely to be interrogated by the Cyberabad police today.
