Has Giddi Eswari Joined TDP For Her Share In Bauxite Loot?: Asks YSRCP

YSRCP on Monday pooh-poohed Paderu MLA Giddi Eswari's claim that she has joined the TDP only for the progress and the dvelopment of the tribals. YSRCP leader and Kurupam MLA Pushpa Srivani reminded that when Araku MLA and MP joined the TDP, Giddi Eswari had said that they had joined only for their pie in the bauxite loot in the Agency area. "Now that Giddi Eswari joined the TDP, she must clarify if she too has joined for her share in the bauxite mining?" she asked.

She demanded that Eswari should immediately resign from her MLA post as she has changed the party. She also ridiculed Eswari for saying that YS Jagan gave party tickets to only those who pay hefty amounts. "If that is the case, how much did Eswari pay to get the YSRCP ticket in 2014,"she asked. She pointed out that Eswari herself had said in the past that she was offered Rs 30 crore to switch side.

Giddi Eswari joined the TDP on Monday in the presence of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. The buzz is that the deal was fixed at Rs 25 crore, of which Rs 10 crore has been given as an advance and the remainder will be paid through commissions in various works. Sources say Chandrababu has lured Eswari into the TDP as he wants to ensure that the YSRCP does not win the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
