Harish Rao fires at Vayalar over 'dosa' comment

TRS leader and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao on Tuesday came down heavily on Union Minister Vayalar Ravi for making unwarranted comment on Telangana.

When hundreds of youth were sacrificing their lives for the cause of separate statehood, the union ministers were making comments gibingly degrading people of Telangana. 

His ire drew the attention of Oscar Fernandez, senior Congress leader, while he was present at the Standing committees’ awareness programme held in Hyderabad.  Harish Rao stalled the meeting for a few minutes raising his voice in protest against the comments made by Vayalar Ravi, who said on Monday that it was not that easy of preparing dosas and coffee to take a decision on Telangana. When Congress MLC and AICC secretary Ponguleti  Sudhakar Reddy objected to Harish Rao’s  uttering saying that it was not the dais to make such serious comments, Harish Rao retarded that his party was founded for the cause of Telangana and he would speak only on Telangana. He asked the Telangana Congress leaders why they were silent even when the Telangana was belittled and its people were degraded. 

The Siddipet MLA said it was a matter of shame on the part of Ravi to compare the serious issue like Telangana, which was also a strong desire of four crores of people with idly and dosa.  The Congress leaders should stand by their promises and announce Telangana state immediately, he demanded.
