Hanumantha Rao Loses His Cool At HCA Meeting
Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao lost his cool and threw a mike after former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin was denied admission to the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) meeting, here on Sunday.
Questioning the denial of entry, Hanumantha Rao asked HCA President G Vivekanand if was a TRS meeting or a cricket meeting. HCA President Vivek is a member of the ruling TRS party in the state.
Replying to the charge, Vivekanand said he respects the legendary cricketer but denied him admission due to credible information that Azharuddin lent his support to the Telangana Cricket Association (TCA). "There are reports that Azhar is the brand ambassador for TCA," Vivekanand said. He further added that the meeting was called to discuss the implementation of Lodha Committee recommendations, besides the 16 resolutions that were implemented by the HCA.
