Guntur: Samaikyandhra activists slam Pawar

NCP chief Sharad Pawar's speech in favour of Telangana might have gained him a few votes and got him appreciation from the pro-Telangana activists. However, he has invited the wrath of the Samaikyandhra activists.

Opposing Pawar's statement, the Samaikyandhra activists staged a protest in Guntur. Members in favour of a united Andhra burnt effigies of Sharad Pawar.
Slamming the NCP chief's support for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the activists alleged that Sharad Pawar had stooped down to a new low with his pro-Telangana statements. Pawar made that statement only to get more votes in the 2014 elections and become PM, they alleged.
