Guntur based TCS techie dies in Bangalore-Guwahati express blast
A 22-year old girl, resident of Guntur was killed when two bombs went off in the Guwahati-Bangalore Express at Chennai Central railway station. She was an employee of Tata Consultancy Services.
According to reports, the death was instant as one of the bombs exploded under her seat.
The victim has been identified as Swathi, and was travelling to Guntur via Vijayawada.
Reportedly, she was traveling from Bangalore to Guntur but her relatives asked her to visit them in Chennai.
Chief spokesman of India’s southern railway system M. Bhupati said that Swathi was killed because the bomb was placed under the seat on which she sat.
The blast which took place on coaches S4 and S5 of the train, as it was approaching platform number 9 at the Chennai Central Station, also injured 18 others as well.
