Gunshots Fired in Temple Town of Tirupati - Sakshi Post

Tirupati: Police fired several rounds into the air in their bid to stop red-sander smugglers in Tirupati late on Sunday night.

A patrol team saw several people moving suspiciously near the SV Zoo and tried to stop them. However, they started pelting stones at the patrol team injuring a reserve sub inspector. The policemen fired into the air in order to stop them, when some of them managed to run away and two of them were caught by the police. About 25 red-sander logs were seized from them.
