Can you imagine this is Pratyusha, who was tortured to no end by her father and step mother and whose tragic story made headlines.This was a pic taken when her mother was alive and everything was hunky dory.

Pratyusha (19) was tourtured by her step-mother, Chamundeshwari and father C Ramesh for a long time.

Ramesh, an officer in the BSNL and his second wife Chamundeswari thrashed her ad nauseum and was denied food. She was confined to a small room and was forced to do menial jobs at home. Ramesh did not object to step-mother Chamundeswari’s beating and thrashing of Pratyusha

The issue came into light when neighbours alerted the authorities about the inhuman treatment of the girl.

According to a global study, the mental health of urban youth is facing a significant decline. This finding comes from the Mental State of the World Report, conducted by an international research organization. In the report's World Mental Health Index, Hyderabad ranked among the lowest among Indian metro cities, with a Mental Health Quotient (MHQ) score of 58.3. Delhi scored even lower, at 54.4, while the global average stands at 63.
