Groupism in Congress to the fore with DL's letter
It is learnt that Health Minister DL Ravindra Reddy has submitted his resignation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi over the Congress' defeat in the by-polls.
He has cited the dismal performance of the Congress party as the reason behind his resignation.
sources said that the Health Minister has reportedly written a letter to Sonia Gandhi, which comes as an indication of growing internal revolt brewing inside the Kiran Kumar Reddy government.
In his letter DL Ravindra Reddy has clearly said that either the chief minister should be changed or his resignation accepted.. The Health Minister also went into a huddle with his cabinet colleagues including deputy chief minister C Damodar Raja Narasimha, Jana Reddy, BC welfare minister Basavaraj Saraiah and former ministers JC Divakar Reddy and Gade Venkata Reddy to discuss the latest situation.
The reason behind their meeting was said to be their unhappiness over KCR being entertained by the Congress high command. The ministers' closed-door meeting lends a new dimension to groupism in Kiran Kumar Reddy's cabinet.
Sources also said that Seemandra MLAs are planning to go to Delhi soon. They say that they should be consulted on any decision involving the state's division.
