Governor shocked over poor facilities at Gandhi Hospital
Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narasimhan made a surprise visit to Gandhi Hospital in the city on Friday and expressed his anger over the poor services and maintenance in the state-run hospital.
Governor went through the In-patient, Out-patient and General wards in the Gandhi Hospital at Musheerabad. After interacting with the patients and enquiring about the services at the hospital, Governor expressed anger over the negligence towards the patients in in-patient department. He questioned the authorities about the insufficient facilities in the ward. The first citizen of the state was apprised of the treatment, medications and hospital’s management by the Superintendent KV Reddy and other officials.
During his unscheduled visit, Narasimhan also called up Health Minister Laxma Reddy and asked about the facilities and infrastructure in the hospital. He also said that he would again make surprise visits to the hospital in the future.
