Gollapalli Surya Rao to be deputy speaker?

Senior TDP leader and former minister Gollapalli Surya Rao is likely  to emerge as the front runner for the post of Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh assembly.

Surya Rao is representing Rajole assembly constituency in East Godavari district.

The notification for the post was released on Friday. The nominations for the post are accepted till 5 pm on Friday. If needed, the election will be held on June 23.

Kaluva Srinivasulu will be the Chief Whip and Kuna Ravi Kumar and Bonda Umamaheswara Rao may take charge as party whips, according to sources.
