Give Golconda, move cantonment: KCR

Telangana CM KCR has a long wish-list when he meets Union Minister for Defence Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday.

He wants Golconda, where he hoisted the Tricolour on August 15 last year, to be handed over to the Telangana government. He also wants the whole of Secunderabad cantonment, which houses several key defence training institutions and quite a few historic monuments, to be handed over to the AP Government. He is likely to propose that the T Government would allocate lands for setting up a new cantonment in Medak. The Secunderabad cantonment would be shifted to Medak, according to the proposal.
He will also demand a sainik school in Warangal. He will meet Union Minister for Law Sadanand Gowda to demand the bifurcation of the AP High Court. He will meet PM Modi on the last day of his four-day Delhi visit.
