Ghost Hoax: Lighted Lamps Are Flying in This Village

Medak: Rumors of ghost creating lighted lamps that are moving and flying in a scary way, made a village in Medak district spend sleepless nights for many days.

For quite sometime, a few of Chepyala village located in Mirdoddi mandal of Medak district created rumors that a woman, who had committing suicide by jumping into a well a few days ago, has turned out a ghost and been roaming in and around the village by creating sudden blazing flames and moving lamps during the night time. The rumors have spread all over the village like wildfire which had created a scary atmosphere in the village especially during the night resulting in sleepless nights for the entire village.

The villagers alleged that some lamps in red and blue colors are lit and moving on around the village at night. On learning about the superstitious ghost issue, police plunged into action and tried to clear the air. The police inspected the area where the lights and lamps are being moved in different colors and found that they were nothing but the lamps of vehicles plying on a road connecting the neighboring villages Lingupalli and Mallupalli.

Police also took some villagers to the particular area in their vehicle and proved it as a ‘ghost hoax’. After confirming it as a rumor, the villagers heaved a sigh of relief and the whole situation turned out to be a farce.

Police clarified that there was no ghost at all and advised the villagers to get out of the superstitions. Police told them to go and sleep well without any fear and worry. They also warned that if anyone tries to create any disturbances to law and order will be seriously punished.
