Ghazal Srinivas Arrested For Sexually Harassing Radio Jockey 

Hyderabad: The Panjagutta police on Tuesday arrested popular singer Ghazal Srinivas for harassing a radio jockey.

After a thorough scrutiny of the proofs produced by the RJ, the police arrested Srinivas who was later produced before a court in Erram Manzil this afternoon.

The police said the messages and videos produced by the complainant (an employee of Aalayavani radio station) clearly establishes the fact that Ghazal Srinivas had kissed her forcibly and demanded that she massage him. A case of sexual harassment under section 354A of IPC has been registered. This is a non-bailable case.

ACP Vijay Kumar said that the girl who has been with the radio station since June 2017 was disturbed after being harassed by Ghazal Srinivas.

Talking to the media, Ghazal Srinivas denied the charges saying he never indulged in such activities. He said that the girl herself offered to massage him in the absence of a masseuse. “I never had any bad intention as I treated the girl as my own daughter,” he said.

In one of proofs produced by the victim, Ghazal Srinivas threatened her to remove from the job if she did not oblige him. Hailing from a village, the girl stays at a ladies and she was facing sexual harassment from Ghazal Srinivas for over two months now.
