Ganja found inside Cherlapally jail

Few packets of ganja were seized from inmates of Cherlapally Central jail in Hyderabad on Sunday during a surprise check conducted by a special team of officials.

According to reports, the jail authorities have conducted a surprise check in Brahmaputra and Krishna blocks and found ganja in the barracks of the inmates.
On Wednesday last, following the seizure of cellphones and SIM cards from prisoners at the Cherlapalli jail, a chief warden and two wardens were placed under suspension for negligence of duty. The ganja packets were handed over to the police station and the police will investigate the issue.
