Ganesh Revelers Try to Drown Policeman

Mumbai: Four youths tried to drown a police SI simply because he asked them to make way for Ganesh idols to be immersed. The SI was thrown into water and when he tried to come out of water, he was beaten by the drunken quartet.
The incident occurred during the Ganesh idol immersion at Teesagaon in Maharashtra. The video of the youth trying to drown the cop has created quite a buzz on the social media.
The four youths and their friends barricaded the immersion spot and kept their idol on the way to block other idols from being immersed. The police got a call at around 9.30 PM and led by SI Dagale tried to clear the way.
Miffed by this, four youths pushed the SI into water. One of them even climbed on the SI and tried to push him into water. The SI managed to save himself and came out to the banks. The youths then thrashed him.
