Gandhibhavan turns battle zone

Gandhibhavan turns battle zone - Sakshi Post

Gandhi Bhavan turned into a battle zone as rival Congress groups had a free-for-all at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday. The occasion was the maiden media address of Telangana PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah and PCC working president Uttam Kumar Reddy at the media room of Gandhi Bhavan.

Supporters of senior leader Laxma Goud and former minister Danam Nagender had fisticuffs and hurled chairs at one another in the presence of AICC general secretary RC Kuntia, Ponnala and Uttam Kumar Reddy. Both the groups vied for the attention of the leaders and tried to edge out the other group. The situation could be brought under control only after the police entered the scene.

The fisticuffs are proof enough of the fact that it would not be a bed of roses for the new PCC chief. Already, several senior leaders are unhappy at being bypassed.
