Gandhi Medical College Celebrates 62nd Foundation Day
Hyderabad: Gandhi Medical College on Wednesday celebrated its 62nd foundation day of the college.
The occasion was marked by giving 36 gold medals and 20 scholarships to meritorious medicos in undergraduate, postgraduate and super specialty medical courses in Gandhi Medical College.
The college founded on September 14,1954 as People’s Medical College was renamed as Gandhi Medical College after it was inaugurated by first president of India Dr Rajendra Prasad on June 25, 1955
The college founded on September 14,1954 as People’s Medical College was renamed as Gandhi Medical College after it was inaugurated by first president of India Dr Rajendra Prasad on June 25, 1955, said Dr B Pratap Reddy, president of Gandhi medical college alumni association (GMCAA). He is an alumnus of 1977-batch.
