Galli Cricket Claims Life Of Player In Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Galli cricket on Tuesday claimed a life in Vijayawada. A youth was stabbed to death after his cricket ball hit a woman in the area while playing in a colony in the city.

The deceased Kiran Kumar, a native of Krishnalanka started playing cricket along with his team in P&T colony ground. Accidentally the ball went and hit a woman Vyjayantimala who lives in the premises of the ground. Enraged over the play Vyajayantimala went to the ground and picked a quarrel with him. Kiran apologized her for his mistake but then her son Srikanth Chowdary who was angry over the issue stabbed him with a knife in his chest and fled away. The teammates rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Police registered a case and are hunting for the accused
