G. Konduru tense after cop shoots locals

Local residents attacked the police station at G. Konduru in Krishna district on Sunday.

Holding the Sub Inspector responsible for the death of Ramakrishna, the locals beat up the SI, reports said. Demanding arrest of the SI, hundreds of local people barged into the police station and assaulted the cop before damaging the furniture inside the station.

After the news of attack spread, Milavaram Circle Inspector Bangarraju rushed to the spot and opened fire at the locals. Four villagers were injured in the firing and the situation turned tense. Both the Sub Inspector and Circle Inspector fled the scene.

According to the latest reports coming in, a huge number of police personnel including senior officers are deployed at the scene to control the situation. More details are awaited.
