G block of Secretariat on the brink of collapse?

Experts from Rajasthan are expected to visit the G- block which is in dilapidated condition in Secretariat on April 11. 

In view of this, adviser to Governor ESL Narasimhan, Salauddin Ahmed spoke to the Secretariat officials over the phone and informed them. 

The building was constructed by the sixth Nizam, Mahaboob Ali Pasha in 1888 and was named Saifabad Palace.

Several officials in Secretariat fear that the G block may fall anytime. They say that hundreds of visitors and employees pass through the premises of the building and and casualties will be immense in case there is a mishap.  

Conservationists on the other hand demand that the build be reconstructed as it has  a rich heritage.  

However, the final call will be taken by the Government.
