Full Refund On Tatkal Railway Tickets

The railways announced full refund for tickets booked in the Tatkal scheme subject to conditions.
New Delhi: The Indian Railways on Thursday announced a 100 per cent refund on train bookings made through tatkal system. The full refund will also apply to tickets booked through e-ticket and over the counter. The refund will be given in the following situations:
- A train is more than three hours late
- A train is diverted from the original route
- If the destination or station of origin is not on the diverted route
- If a passenger's designated coach is not attached to the train and the railway officials fail to provide alternate options
- If a lower class ticket is allotted despite booking for a higher class ticket by the passenger (however, if a passenger accepts the lower class ticket, the difference in fare will be refunded)
