Fresh Exchange of Fire at AOB; 3 Maosts Shot Dead

Malkangiri: Fresh exchange of fire took place in Andhra Odisha Border (AOB) on Tuesday, leaving 3 more Maoists dead. Firing is still going on and police are continuing the combing operation in Jantri forest area.

Greyhounds forces are searching for Maoists who escaped with injuries during Monday's encounter. On Monday, the police had attacked on Maoist plenary meeting at AOB, which was held in the wake of People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) week, and 24 Maoists died in encounter.

Post-mortem was completed for the bodies of the Maoists and they were kept in SP office of Malkangiri. Bodies will soon be shifted to the government hospital. Andhra Pradesh DGP Sambasiva Rao will go for aerial survey of the encounter spot
