Free Ola Ride For 5 Years For Woman Who Delivered Baby In Cab
It is a cab ride that Ishwari Singh Viswakarma and her husband Ramesh Singh of Pune can never forget. It was Ishwari Singh's first ever cab ride. But, this ride gave them a double joy. The cab turned a mobile delivery room for her as she gave birth to a baby boy in the four-wheeler. The icing on the cake is that car aggregater service Ola Cabs announced that the mother and the newborn can avail free rides for the next five years as a gift. They can avail this facility through a special coupon released on the baby's name.
On October 2, Ishwari experienced labour pains, a full three weeks before the expected delivery date of October 24. They booked a cab to Kamala Nehru Hospital, 12 km away from Kondhwa area in Pune, where the Vishwakarmas live. The cab barely covered five km and she delivered the baby in the backseat with the help of one of her relatives. The mother and the infant were discharged on Thursday.
As they were coming out of the hospital, Ola Cabs gave them the free rides gift. Driver Galande who drove her to the hospital was there to take her and the baby boy home. The Ola Cabs also felicitated driver Galande for walking the extra mile to help the woman in distress.
