Four killed in accident in Rajahmundry
Four persons were killed and four others injured when a tractor in which they were traveling overturned in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, police said today.
The mishap occurred last night when the vehicle carrying ten people, including nine laborers, lost control while negotiating a curve and turned turtle at Dandepalem mandal, they said.
All the labourers hailed from Singaraplem area of the district and were being brought to cultivate a tobacco farm, police said. The deceased were identified as P Dayamani (30), B Manga (40), B ramana (25) and Nagesara Rao (34).
The injured were rushed to Rajahmundry Government General hospital, police said. The Dandepalem police have registered a case and investigation is on.
