10 killed,eight other injured in several accidents in AP

Six members of a family including two women were killed today when the car in which they were travelling turned turtle and fell into a river near Manepalli of West Godavari district, police said. The incident occured in the wee hours between around 3 am when the car-driver lost control over the vehicle while crossing a cause-way and overturned before falling in the river resulting in the death of six persons on the spot, they said.

One person travelling in the car survived the accident, they said. The victims were on their way to Bhujabala mandal from Eluru, a senior police officer said. The deceased have not been identified yet and investigations were on.

In another accident, two persons were killed in the return journey from tirupati and eight others injured when their jeep-tipper crashed at  near to alpha engineering college, allagadda town in Kurnool district at  this early morning, police said.The injured were admitted to government hospital while those seriously wounded were rushed to the Government General Hospital at Kurnool. The victims were proceeding to return journey from Tirumala back to their home this morning. The two people who are died in the accident are of  belongs to Medak district.

In another incident, two persons were killed when the auto in which they were travelling collided head on with a car on the Abarpet highway road in Nandigama  mandal, Krishna district on  this morning.
