Four injured in minor stampede in Tirumala
At least four people injured on Saturday in a minor stampede that occured at the famous hill shrine in Tirumala when the unprecedented crowd rushed for darshan.
Tirumala has been witnessing a heavy rush of devotees since the last five days due to the Dussehra eve and also because it was a weekend.
The stampede occurred when the devotees were supposed to enter the queue lines. The injured were immediately given medical aid and later hospitalized.
The queue line stretched to over 3km from the entrance to the Vaikuntam queue complex and it has been taking at least 24 hours for the the footpath darshan.
