Rs 400 crore expenditure for capital's foundation ceremony

Hyderabad: The government of Andhra Pradesh is gearing up to spend Rs 400 crores for the foundation ceremony of the capital, Amaravati.

Around Rs 199 crores will be spent on flights, helipads and other transportation facilities. This includes 15 helipads for the VIPs, VVIPs and 20 charted flights for VIPs who will be attending the event. Rs 110 crore is the estimated budget for laying of roads and power supply in Amaravati.

The other expenditure includes Rs 77 crore for the people who will be attending the event, Rs 20 crores for publicity and Rs 8 crores for the stage decoration.
