Former MLC Kandula Durgesh Joins YSRCP

Former MLC and Congress leader Kandula Durgesh has formally joined the YSR Congress Party on Monday.
Durgesh and his followers came to the Lotus Pond office of the party on Monday and formally joined the party. Party chief YS Jagan wrapped party scarf around his shoulder.
His leaving the Congress Party is being seen as a major blow to the Andhra Pradesh unit of the Congress party. Durgesh till recently, was the president of the East Godavari DCC.
Earlier, he said only the YSRCP has managed to win enough seats to give a tough fight to the TDP-BJP combine. He said he would work for the victory of the YSRCP in the 2019 elections.
