Former Bollywood Actress Abandoned By Son, Left At Hospital
Mumbai: Yesteryear actress Geeta Kapoor was abandoned by her choreographer son at SRV Hospital in Goregaon in Mumbai. Her son Raja, who brought her to hospital, claimed that he would return to pay deposit amount, but never showed up. The 58-year-old woman has acted in classics such as Pakeezah.
Doctors said that Geeta suffered from low blood pressure and was also not fed properly. "As soon as the ambulance brought her to hospital, the son asked if a deposit had to be paid. He left the hospital on the pretext of looking for an ATM and never returned. Since admission, no one from the family has asked about her," said Dr Dipendra Tripathi of the SRV Hospital.
However, the Bollywood fraternity who got to know about her, came to her aid. Filmmaker and CBFC member Ashoke Pandit and producer Ramesh Taurani have cleared bills worth Rs1.5 lakh.

"I wanted to tell the hospital guys that she will be taken care of, so there are no insecurities from the hospital’s side and they would continue treating her. Paying bills is not a big thing really. I saw my mother in her," said Ashok.
At present the hospital is trying to trace out her son, as she has recovered and could be send home.
