'Formal training for first-time MLAs'

Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao said that first time MLAs would be imparted training on legislative proceedings.

“Speaker cannot be a monarch,” said the speaker.

Speaking in the house, he said that he would elicit opinions of all the members to solve the problems of the people.

“Members of the house should behave decently. They have to remember that people are watching their behaviour. Meaningful discussions have to take place in the house,” said the newly-elected speaker.

“It would be better if a new assembly building is constructed for the state of Andhra Pradesh at the earliest,” said Kodela.
