Floods paralyse life in Eluru

Heavy rain over the last three days disrupted life in and around Eluru in West Godavari district, with the Tammileru stream getting flooded.

As a result, traffic on the Eluru-Sriparru causeway and vehicular movement from Krishna district came to a standstill. The flood situation worsened with the release of 4,200 cu secs of water from the Chintalapudi Nagireddy dam.
