Flames at Yaagam Good Omen: Sharada Peethaadhipathi - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The fire that broke out at the venue of Ayuta Chandi Maha Yaagam being performed by Telangana Chief mInister K. Chandrashekhar Rao at Erravelli was only a good omen, said the pontiff of Sharada Sringeri Peetham Sri Swaroopananda on Sunday.

A fire broke out at the venue when huge quantity of ghee was poured in a Homa Gundam and the roof caught fire on Sunday. However, the fire was brought under control by firefighters within minutes.

The seer of Sharada Peetham said that the flames at the top of the main Yaga-pandal are a sign of the aid from the Goddess Chandi Matha for the successful completion of the Maha Yagam. This had happened just because of the Goddess’s blessings to consecrate the Yagashaala as suggested by Veda sastras.

He also said that there is no need to worry about the fire to the roof of main Yagashaala. It's nothing but a good sign from the Goddess right after the completion of the Purnahuthi, which was performed according to the vedic rituals, swamiji said.
