A pathetic incident took place in Nalgonda district on Monday.

Five students were drowned in Dindi reservoir in the district on Monday when they entered it to swim there.

The deceased were identified as Devamani, Jyothsna, Praneeth Reddy,Harsha Vardhan Reddy and Avinash Reddy.

All these students are close relatives with each other. They came to the village for attending the 12th day ceremony of their grandfather, who passed away recently.

It is reported that they were drowned as the water flow was increased suddenly. One of them could survive as he identified the sudden increase in water flow.

The family members could not digest the fact that five of their children were died on the same day.

It may be recalled about 18 students were drowned in Beas river in Himachal Pradesh early this month.
