Five of a family electrocuted
In a shocking incident, five farmers, all of a family, were electrocuted when they were trying to repair a power line.
The incident occured in Cheekalaguri village in Vidapanakal mandal of Anantapur district on Friday afternoon. The five persons were trying to repair a faulty power connection. While they were trying to lift the bore pipe, it came into contact with the wire. Farmer Revanna, his sons Erraswamy and Brahmaiah, grandson Rajasekhar (17) and a relative Veeraendra died on the spot.
YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed deep shock at the incident. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, currently in Japan, ordered an inquiry into the incident.
