Five killed as Scorpio rams into tree on NH-9

At least five persons were killed on the spot and three others injured grievously when a Scorpio vehcile hit a roadside tree on the national highway-9 near Ayitipamula under Kattamgoor mandal of Nalgonda district on Thrusday.

The three injured are stated to be in critical condition and have been admitted to a local hospital, reports said.

The mishap occurred when the Scorpio driver tried to overtake another vehicle. The deceased were yet to be identified.
