Fire Mishap in Somajiguda’s Hotel Katriya

Hyderabad's landmark upmarket Katriya Hotel in Somajiguda suffered a major fire mishap on Tuesday. Fortunately, there are no casualties.

The fire emanated from the fourth floor of the building and quickly spread to the nineth floor. The watch and ward staff of the hotel safely evaculated those inside the hotel. Around 50 persons are said to be in the hotel at the time of the accident.

Prima facie, it appears that the mishap was caused by short circuit. The fire tenders rushed to the spot and put out the fires.

When the media persons tried to shoot the incident, hotel staff and bouncers attacked them.
