Fire Breaks Out at Erravelli Yaagashaala, Controlled in Minutes
Hyderabad: Fire broke out at the Yaagashaala of Ayuta Chandi Yaagam at Erravelli hours before the conclusion of the historical five-day religious event.The Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and a host of VIPs were present at the spot along with hundreds of Veda Pandits and a few thousand visitors. The ceilinng of the Yaagashaala built by dry grass caught fire when a huge quantity cow ghee was poured in one of the 150 Homa Gundams in the premises. Being the last day, the concluding ceremonies needed more fire than before and 1,000 kg ghee is being used for the rituals.
However, the fire was brought under control within minutes and no injuries to anyone were reported. Though only three fire engines were arranged at the venue, they could fight the fire efficiently. Around three lakh people visited the Yaagam on Sunday.
