Final T20 International Match Abandoned
The final Twenty20 International between India and Australia was abandoned due to wet outfield at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Uppal in Hyderabad. Earlier, dark clouds and wet outfield have delayed the toss.
The ground at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium was inspected at 7 pm and at 8:15 pm a decision was taken to abandon the match. This brings the series on a level scale with each team winning one match each.
Hyderabad has been receiving heavy rains for more than a week now and the Met office has predicted rain on Friday as well. Though the sun was bright on Friday morning, dark clouds enveloped the skyline by evening.
India and Australia have won one match each in the three-match series. Indians are looking to wrap up with a T 20 series win after winning both tests and one-dayers. Hyderabad match is important as both India and Australia are locked 1-1. In the last outing at Guwahati, the Indians were bamboozled by left arm pacer Jason Behrendorff. He made India's top order crumble all too quickly enabling the Aussie batters to wrap up the match in just 16 overs.
