‘Films should not use titles that degrade the men in uniform’

Hyderabad: Films should not use titles that degrade the men in uniform, Police Association president Y Gopi Reddy said.

Taking exception to the title of the Telugu film - Mental Police - Gopi Reddy demanded immediate change in the title of the film. He said, they will approach the Producers’ Association and the Censor Board in this regard. The Police Association also will not hesitate to take legal action against the producers of the film if they fail to change the title, he said.

It may be recalled that Gopi Reddy had objected to the Telugu movie Policeodu, a remake of Tamil movie ‘Theri’. He had demanded a change in title of the movie following which producer Dil Raju immediately changed it to Police prior to the release.
