Farmers worried over KCR's U turn on crop loan waiver

Newly-elected Congress legislature party leader K Jana Reddy tried to corner TRS chief KCR over the issue of crop loan waiver.

He said the Telangana CM should keep his promise of waiving farm loans given during the elections.

“KCR has said that he would waive loans of farmers if the amount is less than Rs.1 lakh. But, KCR is now backtracking on his promise. With this, the farmers in the state are a worried lot,” said the former minister.

“KCR government should rethink on its decision of waiving loans of last year only,” demanded Jana Reddy. He also called upon the state government to waive off the entire loan amount of farmers.

He said that it is very unfortunate that KCR could not fulfill his key promise made to the people.
