Farmers furious over Pulichintala project delay - Sakshi Post

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's Indiramma Baata programme has been an ongoing one. However, not much seems to have come out of it. This was evident during his visit to Krishna district.

Farmers are tired of pushing the government into action. Now, they have started an agitation to demand that the government complete the Pulichintala project.

TDP has submitted a request letter to the Chief Minister asking him to provide irrigation water to Krishna Delta region. Kiran Kumar Reddy also reportedly assured them to fulfill the needs.

In December last year, Irrigation Minister P Sudershan Reddy granted additional time to contractors of the Pulichintala project to complete the dam works.

It was a U-turn by the minister on the deadline by giving more leverage to the contractor despite the works getting delayed by almost four years.
