Farmer commits suicide in Adilabad

A debt-ridden farmer of Adilabad committed suicide by consuming pesticide as he unable to repay the money he had borrowed, on Sunday morning.

According to reports, Asanna (41) of Ankoli village, took the extreme step by consuming insecticide. Asanna owned four acres of land in the village and had borrowed about Rs 2.5 lakh from money lenders, they said.

Unable to pay debts due to damaged crops, he ended his life at his residence, police added.
