Family of thieves from Anantapur nabbed
Thieving brothers and their cousins, who have a long history of theft in several states were nabbed in a Task force police operation in Hyderabad.
Targeting lonely women at banks, this family of thieves are believed to be involved in more than 20 cases of theft of valuables, including gold chains. The members of the gang are aged between 25 to 30 years.
During the police investigation they confessed they were afraid that outsiders might spill the beans and hence the whole family was involved as a team.
The arrested are Shabber Ali, Shake hasan, Ajju Ali and another person. All are from Anantapur. When police launched a manhunt for them in Anathapur, they went to Karnataka. After committing some thefts, they went to Maharashtra.
Several cases have been booked against them in West Godvarai, Vizag, Guntur and Krishna districts.
Police have also seized money worth Rs 10 lakhs and two bikes from them.
