The grieving relatives, demanding immediate release of compensations, had staged protest near Ministers' Quarters. They had come together under the aegis of Mahabubnagar Bus Victims Families Action Committee.
When some protestors tried to barge into the Ministers' Quarters, police swung into action and took them into custody.  The police shifted the family members to Golconda police station where they shouted slogans against the government.
They expressed anger over Botsa for his failure to conduct proper investigation and inability to find the owner of the bus. Responding to their pleas, the SHRC has directed the director-general of police to submit a report before December 16.
