False cases implicated against YS Jagan: Former DGP Dinesh Reddy

Former DGP V. Dinesh Reddy formally joined YSR Congress party in Hyderabad on Monday, in the presence of party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, at the latter's Lotus Pond residence.

Speaking to reporters after joining the party, Dinesh Reddy said that he would strive hard for the party’s victory in the ensuing elections. "I have seen YS Rajasekhara Reddy very closely, and the development that his welfare schemes brought for the poor.  He worked hard for the welfare of the poor and YS Jagan's leadership can only take that good work forward."  

The former state Police head made it clear that false cases were intentionally implicated against YS Jagan. He added that it was improper to level allegations against YS Jagan without them being proved.  

He said he will contest from wherever the party high command wants him to.
